And after some light sanding, a few coats of spray paint primer, my favorite Rustoleum Painter’s Touch Glossy White Spray and some fabric I found online, SHE WAS RIGHT!  It does go perfect in our guest room.  Now guest have a pretty little place to unload their luggage :)

 Next up: our taupe-ish entry wall with black frames.  Some of you may remember one of my recent segments on the Charlotte Today Show where I talked about decorating with your images {here}.  I had the nerve to say black frames are somewhat out!!  Then I came home to my bland entry with black frames hung WAAAAY too far apart.  Wish I had a few better “BEFORE” pics, but you get the picture (pun intended!!)

I was inspired by Emily A. Clark Interiors striped foyer make over (here) (plus it just so happens we had teamed up for the segment) so I decided on stripes for our little entry way!!  Brightening the wall was the first order of business…

Next the measuring and taping… a bit tedious but it goes quickly!

The best part is taking off the tape… Voila: Stripes! Now to hang the frames.  I took another piece of my own advice and mapped out my frame placement with kraft paper.

A quick word about gold spray paint.  I researched all over pinterest (and knew from personal experience) that the Rustoleum spray paint is always the way to go.  I made the mistake, however, of purchasing the “metallic” in pure gold the first time around.  It turned out flat with beige undertones.  Oooops.  Not the look I was going for.  I would hands down recommend the second option here: The speciality metallic gold that dries to a shiny finish.  Can you believe the difference?!

And now it’s been an entire year!

Thursday we celebrated our little sweetie pie… nothing big and over the top (I just couldn’t bring myself to plan it!!).  Just sweet and simple with our fam and Blake’s parents.  We had a lot to celebrate.  We also fit in a quick “one-year-old” shoot with everyone in tow!  To commemorate, I put together a picture from each one of her monthly shoots, and then the big ONE!  Can’t even tell you how blessed I feel :)

Last week while in Florida, I got together with a few of my fabulous photographer friends for a styled shoot out.  I had visions of zebras and florals and sunlight.  Turns out it was drizzly and dark, the Zebras were CRAZED {I mean running in circles, run for our lives crazy}.  The donkey was the only one who wasn’t camera shy… not what I was going for.

Lucky for us, we had TWO BABES with two gorgeous looks, who rocked it… rain, zebra poop and all.  Here are a few of my faves.  Jessica & Kara… you girls are AWESOME!!  Eva & Heather… let’s do take two next time :) XOXO

So, on Easter Sunday, while enjoying the start to an AMAZING time with my family in Florida, I realized: I do NOT have a single prefessional picture of me with my three!  WHAAAAT!?!  How can I tell people week after week how priceless professional pictures are without subscribing myself!  This had to be fixed…

And 20 minutes later it was :)
